Why DCC exists

Many young people carry heavy things in silence. Many parents and couples want help but do not know where to turn.

Deborah Counseling Consult grew out of Counselor Deborah Baba’s work with teenagers, families and schools. It exists to give people a professional, caring place to be heard, and practical guidance to move forward. [ADD: year DCC was founded]

Today DCC serves teenagers and youth, parents, individuals, couples and families, alongside schools, churches and NGOs across Nigeria and beyond.

The founder

Counselor Deborah Baba

Counselor, teens and relationship coach, author and public speaker.

Deborah Baba holds a BSc and a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counselling [ADD: university]. She founded Deborah Counseling Consult to offer professional, faith-based support to teenagers, individuals and families. [ADD: years of experience]

Her work reaches well beyond the counseling room. She leads school and community outreaches, speaks at conferences, churches and on radio, and partners with NGOs that support underserved young people. [ADD: number of schools and young people reached]

She is the author of three guides for teenagers: Staying True to Yourself, Speak Out and Right Track on Your Relationship.

Deborah comes from Oba in Apa Local Government Area, Benue State, and is based in Abuja.
